For the convenience of our patient we have a urgent care clinic in the evenings Monday-Thursday and Saturday mornings. One of our physicians is on call 24 hours a day if any medical concerns arise during non-clinic hours. The clinic accepts most national and local insurance plans.

Clinic Registered Nurse

Kaukauna Clinic is an independent multi-physician family practice group providing care to the residents of the Fox Valley and surrounding areas. Our board certified family physicians and nurse practitioners provide compassionate, high quality care to patients of all ages- newborn, child/adolescent, adult and the elderly.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Obtains patient consent for care. Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  2. Places anticipated labs and medication refills in EMR.
  3. Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices. Observes patient condition and immediately communicates changes/concerns to MD. 
  4. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  5. Administers vaccines as directed by provider following clinic guidelines.
  6. Preps rooms for procedures.
  7. Assists and/or performs procedures with the provider.
  8. Performs strep screens, urine dipsticks, EKG’s, pulmonary function studies, visual/hearing exams, nebulizer treatments, IV starts, and fetal monitoring tests.
  9. E-scribes, faxes, or mails new prescriptions or refills at the direction of the provider and documents accordingly.
  10. Obtains outside provider reports, lab and x-ray reports as needed.
  11. Cleans, stocks, and organizes rooms as needed.
  12. Cleans and sterilizes equipment.
  13. Maintains Patient Confidentiality.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

 Education: RN. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.

 Other Requirements: Current state registered nurse license. Possess CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and TB).

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions; and community resources. Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies. Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
  2. Knowledge of wellness/illness, growth and development, human behavior, psychosocial factors, and alternative health care treatments.
  3. Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information.

Skills:

  1. Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination.
  2. Skill in initiating appropriate crisis interventions and emergency response.
  3. Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone.

Abilities:

  1. Ability to analyze options and then counsel patients and families about choices and make referrals to other providers and resources.
  2. Ability to engage clients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan.
  3. Ability to read and interpret physicians’ orders and notes from other providers.
  4. Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.

CMA/LPN

Kaukauna Clinic is seeking a CMA/LPN with a minimum of one year experience to join our team.

Positive, high integrity, individual that enjoys interacting with patients. They will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed medical provider in a fast paced family practice clinic setting. Duties include, but are not limited to, taking vitals, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, documentation of encounters and phone calls, performing EKGs, and administering immunizations.

Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program and have passed the exam. Epic experience is a plus.

Medical Office Receptionist

Kaukauna clinic is accepting applications for a Medical Clinic Receptionist. This person will act as the first point of contact for patients by providing a positive first impression and establish strong patient relationships.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Routes calls appropriately, offering voice mail, paging, or redirection of calls as needed per clinic’s phone policy.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Distributes incoming faxes appropriately.
  • Sorts and distributes daily mail.
  • Maintains patient and clinic confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year of experience preferred in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment. Experience with Epic strongly preferred.
